Welcome to Blue Pearl Cottage, a lovely, sunny beach house, just minutes from fabulous beaches, wildlife and the quaint downtown of Chincoteague. This airy cottage nestled beside pine woods has a large wrap-around deck, a screened porch and offers privacy and quiet, with all of the amenities of home. Naturalists will love the wildlife – spot hawks and hummingbirds from the deck. It has three bedrooms and two baths, tasteful furnishings, hardwood floors throughout. Wander to the end of the road to reach Assateague Channel, with views over the marsh to the lighthouse. A short drive or bike ride away is Assateague Island, designated as a national seashore and completely undeveloped. The island offers unparalleled opportunities to swim, sunbathe, hike, bike, fish, go crabbing, and surf. We have left crabbing nets and surf boards for you to enjoy the water. Or use the binoculars to watch the wild ponies, Great Blue Herons, pelicans and many other seaside birds, and simply relax on a stunningly beautiful beach. If you keep your eye on the sea, you might see dolphins breaching the water as they feed or magnificent brown pelicans skimming across the waves. A small bridge connects the island to Chincoteague. Back at Blue Pearl; relax on the porch or in the large garden playing croquet and ball games. If you're looking for a peaceful beach cottage for a romantic getaway or family vacation, you'll enjoy Blue Pearl. The charming town has a wide variety of locally-owned restaurants, shops, ice cream parlors, activities for children, and even a newly emerging art scene. If you like boardwalks, loud crowds, traffic jams or high rises, then Chincoteague is not for you. Please note the house does have a ramp but you also have to go up several steps to get into the house.   We had a great time at blue pearl cottage. The house is cute, with everything we needed. The furniture have a lot of cachet, the decoration is charming, however the kitchen could benefit for some update. But for the price it was totally ok.
  We especially appreciate the screened porch, as the house is located in a shadowed area, by the swamps, so surrounded by mosquitoes. We have been able to enjoy nice evenings.
  Overall the house cleaning was ok (kitchen and bathroom) but a lot of dog hair were spread on the terrace, and inside the house. It was also a little dusty. Forks and knives were not clean, we hat to wash them all again.

  The Blue Pearl Cottage was the perfect retreat for us. We brought our dog along and it worked out great. The screened porch was a nice place to relax and the interior mid century modern furnishings were nostalgic and comfortable. The cottage was very pleasant for a relaxed weekend. No major frills but just what we needed. It was just the two of us and our dog but a family of six would have plenty of space. Harbour Rentals were great to work with and we will use them again!

  This was our 2nd stay @ this lovely location. As always Harbor Rentals had everything clean, tidy and ready for us and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to enjoy some good seafood meals! The only negatives, The furniture could use some help, the kitchen chairs are a bit rickety, not very sturdy and the living room furniture is not very comfortable for relaxing/lounging on after a full day of fun in the sun...or a rainy day. Window coverings on the front windows would really be nice too since after dark you can see everything in the house from the street.

  This house was on a nice street with a view of the lighthouse at the end! The handicap ramp and walk-in shower really helped my elderly mother out. Loved that it was dog friendly so the pups could come along on vacation.

  Love, Love, Love the house and its amenities. Great Location!! Close to everything. Our only issue was with the window coverings or lack their of. Nothing on the front windows...fine during the day but when lights are on inside at night with no curtains you are exposed to the world. ALSO the master BDR and the one across the hall are exposed to a motion detection light from a neighbor and the venation blinds do NOT BLOCK the blinking light nor the sunrise in the morning, it streams in the Master BDR & bath windows in the rear of the house. Making it hard to sleep-in on vacation. All this being said...WE LOVED STAYING AT THE BLUE PERAL COTTAGE! We will return again....and again!

  The house is exactly as described. It was very clean and in good condition. A/C was perfect. The neighborhood is very quiet. Also very convenient to everything on the island. Living room furniture could use a bit of an update but no big deal don’t spend most of the time in the house anyway. We spent extra time there since we were there during the tropical storm coming through. Love the beach here. Everybody was social distancing. Everyone was Social distancing In lines where we were. In the grocery stores, takeout lines and anywhere else people need to be practicing it. Not having a dishwasher was no big deal for us. They have a charcoal grill, coals and lighter fluid provided. I haven’t cooked on one of those in a long time but boy the food was excellent that we made on it. Enjoyed the screened in porch in the evenings. Management answered a few questions we did have quickly and completely. I would recommend this property to friends or relatives. It was just so good to get away and enjoy the beach here after being cooped up in the house for months. We actually canceled a different beach location in another state because people were not following rules. But again here everybody was respecting each other.

  We were very pleased with the Blue Pearl Cottage on Chincoteague Island. The rooms were spacious and the place was well kept. The screened in porch was comfortable. Make sure you bring plenty of bug spray as the mosquitoes are quite plentiful at this location.

  This is a very well laid out comfortable home. The large enclosed porch is an excellent way to experience the outdoors without being eaten up. At the same time the central air conditioning is very quiet and comfortable. We would say however some of the interior furnishing could use some updating. The futon should be replaced with a real bed that would fit in the room, and one of the two twin bed mattresses needs replacing. The living room furniture is also less than optimal. The owner should throw in a gas grill that would be nice to have. If possible a dishwasher should be installed, but it’s not a dealbreaker.The location has a lot going for it, being a nice looking block and well located.

  The home was lovely the only thing missing was a nice television. The living room set was very small and it would not have mattered except for the evening when you want to relax. The one bedroom with the futon would have been nice if it was also a bed for 2 adults. I would still recommend this home to my friends just plan on it sleeping 4 adults and 2 children. This home is cozy and I would love to return again! My husband wants to book for 2020!
