Enjoy the water view from this immaculate home offering spacious rooms and a quiet location off of Main Street. All bedrooms are on the same level. Spread out in the two separate living rooms and two lovely porches. Plenty of space in the large dining room for the whole family to gather for meals..   I had a wonderful 3 weeks in Decolores. The staff was great in helping me set up my stay. Decolores had the various spaces I needed to spend my time optimally. A nice walk to the downtown, park, and pier which I did once or twice daily. Hope I can do it again sometime.

  Over all we were very pleased with the property. Actually, this was the third year to rent out the house. The only reason we may not return a fourth year is because it does not have a screened porch or even a covered porch for that matter.

  I love this island and the people. Harbour rentals are always helpful and easy to work with.
  Decolores may look tiny but it has plenty of space for 6. Three adults, one teen and two children. Beds are comfortable. Enough seating and dining space . I was concerned that the location would be noisy. I was wrong. Peaceful and within walking distance to several of our favorite places.

  House was great just like last year. The ants were a pain but may have been worse due to weather. I did miss the wild tall bushes that use to block some view of neighbors from the kitchen porch but neighboring property decided to clear it out I guess. Neither of these things ruined our great week with great weather.

  Decolores rental lived up to our expectations. It was spacious and very clean and was in the perfect location. We could easily walk into town or to the Island Creamery, which of course is a favorite. Harbour Rentals made everything very easy. We definitely want to come back to Decolores next summer. The only negative was that the outside garden area needed attention.

  The home we rented was perfect for our needs. There two couples and the layout of the house offered us the opportunity to be together as much as we wished but also easily separated space when we needed a bit more privacy. So many places to visit for meals, shopping and site seeing were within easy walking distance. The Island Creamery was a particular bonus being a short walk away. The neighbors were friendly and quiet. The house was clean and fit the description exactly. I don't know what could have improved our stay.

  We enjoyed our stay here. Great location to downtown and refuge. Just note the house is behind the houses fronting Main Street. Plenty of living space, large bedrooms, great for cooking with accessories. However little shelf space for groceries- just shift items in pantry. House was clean and furniture though not fancy is appropriate for relaxation. Would come again.

  My sole complaint was the condition of the outside. Front porch and seat cushions were very dirty. Flower beds were weedy and overgrown. It took about a week for grass to be mowed. Grass where hose was kept never was mowed.

  The house was mostly dated as far as furniture in majority of the house. There was enough space which was probably the best part. There were cob webs in just about every corner. There was a chair in master bathroom that had cob webs all around it. We left the property cleaner than it was when we arrived. Dining room table was large and hall way bathroom was mostly decent/updated. Master bedroom mattress was newer/comfortable. The other two mattresses could definitely be replaced. There was rodent droppings on a shelf in one of the kitchen closets... as well as raccoons in our trash in the can outside. There was a lot of outside furniture that we were unable to use most of out stay due to rain and the abundance of cushions on all patio furniture. Parking would have been problematic had we had more than one vehicle- enough parking for 2 at the house but someone else from a house near by parked their boat in our second parking spot. I emailed to verify if we needed to bring pillows, told me yes we did need to bring them, arrived at house and there were tons of pillows there. The couches in living room were not very comfortable, looked very old and had stains on couch & couch covers.

  Very nice house in a convenient location. Nice large bedroom with a large master bath Only problem we had was the house in front of this one had 4 vehicles for 5 days of our stay partially blocking the shared driveway which made it very hard to get into and out of the 2 parking spaces that go with this house.

  We really liked the house. It had plenty of space for the number of people in our party. It was well equipped and comfortable. We did think that they could use a better cleaning service. There were alot of cobwebs and the kitchen floor was very sticky. Also, it is difficult to locate the driveway if you arrive at night. Maybe a better way to mark the driveway near the curb would be helpful. I also did not like that I was charged a service fee on the refundable part of the deposit and that fee was not returned. Other than that it is a great place to stay.

  This is our 2nd time staying at Decolores and would love to stay again! There were many new items since last June - new carpeting throughout (smelled BRAND NEW), new porch swing, new patio table & umbrella and probably more. It's very spacious and comfortable. Everything is convenient on the Island. You can walk to the Main Street Coffee shop, Mr. Whippy's or any of the downtown restaurants and shops. We also enjoy walking to the Island Nature Trail (near the High School).

  DeColores has sentimental value, as it was our first vacation site at Chincoteague. Still remains a solid site. Good location, with ample room and many available conveniences. Appliances always seem to work too -- not always a given with such rentals. Only drawback this time was a slightly untidy deck (fallen blossoms, branches, leaves, etc.) Used broom to clean off although a blower (electric or otherwise) would have been helpful.
