  This is our second year at Miss Agnes and we loved it even more. The owner fenced in the back yard and that is a great asset for anyone staying there with their dog. The staff at Harbour Rentals is great to work with. We always let them know any little tweaks needed and they are right on them. The front screened porch is our favorite place to view the gorgeous sunsets. The ponies come right down Main Street in front of the house and we have the perfect seats to enjoy them and the Saltwater Cowboys. This year I took my video of the ponies from the front bedroom upstairs and that way I got to view the foals and ponies over the Cowboys! We are really looking forward to returning next year for the 100th anniversary of the pony swim!

  Everyone in our Party had a great time at Miss Agnes. It was the perfect place!! Very comfortable and clean. Sitting on the front porch every evening was a great experience, especially for our two year grand son. Our dog was very happy and comfortable in the house. The sunsets were spectacular. The beds for the most part were comfortable. Really we all had a great time and enjoyed our time at Miss Agnes and with our visit to Chincoteague.

  The house is full of charm having been constructed over 100 years ago. It has nice updates like appliances, AC. The front porch is screened in which is a necessity in Chincoteague and has phenomenal sunsets over the water. Only disappointment - AC does not reach back 2 bedrooms effectively so in the heat & humidity of the summer - bring fans.

  It's a comfortable house with lots of space. Love the open kitchen/ dining area. The screened in porch is a gem. Beautiful sunsets while looking at the bay right the street. Perfect for a family of all ages. Close to town but far away enough so you feel like you're really on vacation. Management provides great customer service. Already made reservations for 2024.

  After spending our vacations across the street from Miss Agnes for five years, we were pleasantly surprised to find this house was right across the street from our former rental. We absolutely loved its charm, the leaning floor in the kitchen, the elegant staircase, the beautiful etched glass door going into the parlor, the short wall on the front yard by the sidewalk where we could sit to watch the ponies come down Main Street, the nice grass yard for our dog and the wonderful neighbors. I love old homes and she didn't disappoint us. Harbour Rentals was very attentive to reports of some needed repairs. We liked the house and location so much, we immediately rebooked it for next year. Being able to see the gorgeous sunsets from the front screened porch and watching the boats return from the swim to see the ponies coming down Main Street was a plus. The dining area was quaint with the woodstove on the hearth and the bow window. The kitchen was well supplied including a vintage microwave. The refrigerator/freezer held an ample amount of food and beverages. I'd have to say the screened front porch was our favorite spot to relax. We love Chincoteague and are ecstatic that we found the perfect place to go (after Covid kept us away for two years). Looking forward to next July - wishing it was sooner than later.

  We had a lovely stay here! The screened in porch across from the bay was the best part. Unfortunately, it got cold towards the end of our trip so we didn't use it as much as we would have liked.   As always, when renting from Harbour Rentals, our property was wonderful and the rental process so very easy. The view from Miss Agnes is beautiful. We were there for the spring roundup and were able to see the ponies on Friday plus eat out at several of the restaurants during our stay. Chincoteague restaurants have THE BEST seafood around.   We had a wonderful time in Chincoteague while we stayed at Miss Agnes. Miss Agnes is an older home, but the layout was great!
  
  I loved the large eat in kitchen with cabinets/drawers that were stocked with the necessities. The large table was a plus as all 6 of us could comfortably fit with room to spare! There is a regular coffee pot AND a Keurig! The washer and dryer was off the kitchen was a wonderful and saved on what we had to pack.
  
  The living room (off the kitchen) is pretty comfortable and can be closed off to the rest of the home by a door. We discovered the sofa to be a sleeper, so, if you have a person in your party that has mobility issues, they could use the family room as a private bedroom at night and still have access to a full bath!
  
  Having two full baths was wonderful for the 6 of us. Note the upstairs bathroom has a shower stall that is on the smaller side but it was sufficient for us! The downstairs bathroom is a tub/shower combo off the kitchen and both of the bathrooms are a decent size.
  
  The two queen beds' mattresses were very firm. We are not accustomed to such firm mattress and we woke most mornings with back aches. Our daughters slept in the bunk bed and they said it was comfortable.
  
  Our favorite part of the home though was the front porch and its view! Most morning were spent with a cup of coffee on the porch watching the activity on the bay. Our daughters also enjoyed splashing around in the water and exploring. They found tiny uninhabited shells, horseshoe crabs, hermit crabs, clams (don't eat those though), and spotted a jelly fish. Two of the chairs needed repairs and two others seemed fine. At the end of the week we discovered a couple folding camp chairs in the closet in the entryway that provided some additional seating.

  The house is spacious, clean and the kitchen was large when we cooked as a family. The screened in front porch was the favorite spot of the house to watch the sunsets and to read. It is in the quiet part of the island but still close enough to walk or bike to go out to eat or shop. I asked them to update their listing, the house had two queen beds and not just one for those bringing their own linens. I would recommend staying here. We really enjoyed going to the park to the beach and we also went biking.

  This home has a lovely charm with a beautiful view of the water- but no access to it. The sunsets were absolutely beautiful from the screened in porch. Collecting shells was easy on morning walks with our 10 yr old beagle. The kitchen & dining area had everything you needed for mealtimes and playing board or card games. We brought our own but a few were provided. The master bedroom bed was comfortable but one person in our party had trouble sleeping due to an old mattress. Once blankets were added under sheets this improved but something that should be replaced for the busy tourist season ahead. Bathroom was clean with plenty of shelving space for toiletries for two couples. The location is s close to everything by car, trolley or walking if energized. Neighbors were very friendly & offered suggestions for restaurants. It was less than a 15 minute drive to the National park where the wild horses are. We went there twice and we’re not disappointed. We did purchase a long portable table to enjoy playing games on the porch & used a dining room chair in porch as only seating for 3 provided.
  It was a wonderful 5 days and we would return in a heartbeat off season. Guided told us in season 5,000 tourists & residents descend on this little island. That we couldn’t imagine!

  We are so happy we found this house when we decided to get away during the pandemic! My children loved that they got their own beds and the oldest loved having her own room. It was in a quiet location across from the water which lead for some nice evening walks. Going to the beach was a quick drive and my youngest was so excited to see the ponies.   My family and I have rented Miss Agnes for three years. We've been coming to Chincoteague for 35+ years so we know we found a jewel in Miss Agnes. It's the perfect place to totally unwind with the peaceful bay in the morning with the fishing boats going out, to the spectacular sunsets at night right in front of you. The house is simple but has everything you need. It's four of us and a dog but you never feel crowded. Nice backyard to BBQ and for the dog to play. The screened is porch is the ultimate: rocking chairs, sunset and a serene feeling in your heart and mind.
