  My family had a very nice and relaxing time staying at Sunrise Over Little Oyster Bay. When I think of a Chincoteague vacation this house has it all. Rooms were very spacious especially the open kitchen and dining area. Balconies were nice and the morning sunrises were gorgeous. We enjoyed eating our dinners out on the balcony also. I would definitely rent this house again.

  We have been visiting Chincoteague Island for the last 25 years. We have stayed many places on the Island, and this home was by far one of the best ones yet. I would highly recommend this home. The views are breath taking! The home was clean, large, and easily accommodated our family. The boys loved fishing, and crabbing off of the private pier. We will definitely try to stay here again in the future.

  We stayed at this property in August 2022-our 18th summer on the island. We loved the view over Little Oyster Bay and some of the comfort of this home including the open floor plan, the two master bedrooms and the attic bedroom. This is really a 3 bedroom house that comfortably sleeps 6. The basement bed is not in a bedroom and has a concrete floor adjacent to the garage and is not clean or comfortable. Do not plan to use that bed or room. The outside porch is lovely although it is not screened in and the mosquitos were plentiful until the town sprayed. Could use more porch furniture and a larger indoor kitchen table. Kitchen was pretty well stocked for a rental and we cooked all of our meals there. The dock was too high for our kayaks to launch so we went through the tall grass and had lovely bird sightings in the larger bay. The Assateague beach was as wonderful as always and we could see a NASA rocket launch from the porch! All in all a lovely stay but we had stress as we could not use the 4th bedroom. We are grateful that Harbour Rentals put one of our party up in another house which provided us with a very happy stay!

  Stayed with my family for the week. Overall the house is nice. Though I don't consider it a 4 bedroom house. The bedroom that was created in the basement is just creepy and the bedroom all the way upstairs in the attic area is too hot. The house could use some paint on the outside and a power wash. All of the wood on the dock should be replaced. Also, the picnic table on the front right outside should be discarded. The internet doesn't always work that well. The television in the master bedroom upstairs doesn't work. Also, the surround sound for the tv downstairs doesn't work. Overall, all of these things need to be fixed before renting.
  Also, the house could use a new roof.

  We just spent an amazing week on Chincoteague Island in Sunrise Over Little Oyster Bay. The house was well appointed and the layout fantastic with lots of space for our family (4 adults and 3 boys) to spread out and enjoy. There are two outside decks and the lower deck is shaded most of the day and usually has a nice breeze. A great place to relax with a book, enjoy meals, and do a bit of birding. It was hard to leave the view and peacefulness to enjoy the rest of the island. There is no walk-in access from the shore and no swimming but the dock extends over tidal marsh vegetation and we had so much fun crabbing off of the dock and kayaking. Crabbing kept he boys entertained for hours. We launched the kayak from the dock which was easy for the younger folks. Most of the docks nearby had ladders to facilitate water access and it is the one addition I would have liked to see but we did OK without. When we weren’t at the house, we were enjoying Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge and the Assateague National Seashore which has a great sandy beach and waves for body-surfing and wonderful visitor centers. The kids spent a day at the water park and one rainy day we visited the NASA Wallops Island Visitor Center that features some hands on exhibits for kids. There is something for everyone on Chincoteague Island. We are birders so love the refuge but the kids loved activities. There are all kinds of restaurants but the house was fully equipped so we enjoyed many dinners on the back deck. We have visited Chincoteague many times for birding but this was our first weekly rental our adult children and grandchildren and we couldn’t have been happier with the house and our stay on Chincoteague.

  We stayed here in 2019 and 2021. In the two years between stays, the house has developed mold in every register and along the edges of the 2nd floor shower.
  Kitchen sink leaks and so needs a new gasket and the AC needs a filter change, as indicated by the control panel. The vacuum cleaner does not work correctly, no movement of the beater bar, so picking up sand from the rugs is difficult. It looks like overall maintenance is not as good as it once was.
  The house wasn’t as clean overall. The kitchen and bathroom floors were dirty. We had to clean all the bathroom and kitchen fixtures and surfaces before we could use them. We left the house much cleaner than it was when we arrived. Ironically, there was an envelope for leaving a tip for the housekeeper. The only evidence of housekeeping was a paper strip over each toilet.
  If a dehumidifier was installed, new mold would not grow. The mold that currently exists needs to be professionally removed.
  I hope these problems are addressed before our next stay.

  A little too pricy and too much house for us. Overall house was beautiful. However, there were mold issues in the kitchen floor vents, possible mold (or HVAC black dust) at most wall vents, spider and other bugs in some of the rooms. Vacuum cleaner would only work with hard floor tool, so rug vacuuming was a problem. The poor folks at Harbour Rental had to deal with an HVAC leak the morning of our arrival. The floor was wet for a week (luckily not a room we used much). No external access to garage to store bikes or other items. Would recommend to a friend, but only if the property were a little more taken care of. Only restaurant we did not care for was Don's - food was exceptionally salty. Ropewalk was a nice surprise. Too bad A.J.s no longer accepts reservations. Got around to the south end of Assateague island (having not been able to do so for years due to time of year we usually come over).

  We loved the house.Its close to everything and was almost immaculate. We loved having two master suites and the 2nd floor has a lavish bathroom. We enjoyed the great layout, decks and kitchen. There is however starting to be mold and water damage to some ceiling vents and fixtures but it didnt have any effect on our stay.
  It does not have easy access(No ladder or floating deck) from the pier for kayaks and such and is surrounded by a dark sludge in the water and grass. We usually spend the entire week crabbing and fishing in chincoteague and the crabs were plentiful but we gave up because of the pepper looking crab parasites. It is supposed to be harmless I think but we didn't bother after the first catch.
  If you want a nice house that's close to everything and offers privacy for multi family members and don't mind the difficulty of getting in and out of kayaks it's a great choice.

  We had a great week at Sunrise Over L:ittle Oyster Bay! The sunrises were amazing and so was the house. We were able to do a little crabbing off of the dock, there were some games provided that we enjoyed, we used the grilling condition that worked well, and the house was clean. We had an issue with the cable and internet because the former renter unplugged some necessary equipment, but the Harbour Renters team helped quickly solve that issue and all was good!

  House was very nice and spacious. Our group of seven was comfortable with the living areas. We spent a lot of time on the back deck, if the mosquitos were not biting so bad we would have been out there even more. Fishing off the back dock was not very successful, however we may have had the wrong setup. We were successful in catching a few crabs. The house is located back a short dirt road, very quiet, relaxing area. It is close to all the Maddox Blvd and about 10 minutes from the beach. The only issue we had was a slow draining sink and for some reason our trash was not picked up on trash day. Harbour Rentals was very friendly and resolved both issues without any complaints. I highly recommend this house if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing get away.

  Beautiful views from most rooms. The Master Bedroom suite takes up the 3rd floor and had the best view of the Bay. The kitchen and living room were well stocked. Loved our walks to the town for ice cream and dinner. Never used the basement as it was bit creepy.
