  We had a wonderful vacation rental experience. The description was accurate! Perfect seeing the Lighthouse from the house.
  We enjoyed daily trips to Assateague to see birds and the Ponies! Good boat tour with Capt. Dan. Went to several of the restaurants. All good selection of seafood.
  House was very nice. As described. Plenty of space.
  Only complaint: porch windows do not work. Could not close them. We had hoped to warm porch with sun in order to enjoy it.

  We had a great stay at Assateague sunrise. My interactions with the staff at the rental company was great. They were very friendly and helpful with my questions. This property was in a great location right across from the Assateague Lighthouse and a creek and Marsh land with lots of activity. It was not far from Assateague Island, Main Street or any place where you needed to catch a bite to eat. You would have to drive to these places because the walk would be a little too far. The property was in good shape outside but is right near a road that is not shown in pictures. The road is not traveled much. The inside has a spacious kitchen, a comfortable living room two bathrooms but they’re both on the first floor which is something you need to know if you have hip or knee issues. A two twin bed bedroom upstairs and a queen size bedroom downstairs. There is a wonderful porch with comfortable seating to watch the goings on of the marsh and the beautiful sunrises. The latch to the door leading outside is stuck shut from salt air so you only have one way out of the house. We sat out there a lot. Some parts of the house look a little beat up. The baseboard radiator was rusted with age. The window screens all had dog claw marks and tape over them and the screen door looked pretty beat up where dogs had probably gone through it. We went in October so we had no need of air conditioning or a heater. Kitchen facilities were great! As far as cleaning, the couch and been pulled out for a very long time. Under the couch were pencils, Legos, paper towels, lots of dust bunnies and dog food that didn’t belong to us. All other parts of the house seemed clean. I would definitely stay here again knowing what I know.

  This is a very nice cottage with a great view. Some screens need to be fixed as mosquitos got in by the droves Otherwise nice Needs more light over kitchen table.

  The many pros:location, view, comfortable beds, roomy, nice kitchen appliances, entertaining chickens and goat next door.
  What would put this over the top would be screen maintenance and a porch fan so that you could spend more time comfortably enjoying that Assateague lighthouse view.

  We had a great time on Chincoteague and loved staying at Assateague Sunrise. The house is clean and has everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. The view is fantastic and the breeze coming off the channel is refreshing. Would have loved a furnished outdoor space, but we made it work.

  Assateague Sunrise is the perfect place to enjoy morning coffee while watching the sunrise. It's clean, cozy and is the perfect place to call home while exploring Chincoteague. The kitchen is basic but most of the essentials to cook a meal are there.

  We had a great time on our vacation, and the house was everything we wanted. Simple, clean, beachy feel, and what a view!! The full moon rise with the lighthouse on our first night was an unexpected treat. It is located on a road that is a favorite of bicyclists, and we were a short ride to town on our own bikes for food and entertainment. The house is also about 4.5 miles by bike from both the main beach access and the bike/hike-only access, which I highly recommend.

  We absolutely loved our stay! Everything we needed for our week was included (except sheets and towels which they told us about beforehand). The home was well situated to all restaurants and the beach.Lots of parking in driveway. Quiet area and not much traffic on road. A trolley stop is nearby. Owners live right next door and were so friendly and willing to answer any questions and help in anyway possible.
  I would really have liked a TV for both bedrooms. Not everybody likes watching the same programs especially when you have kids involved.
  I loved having a washer and dryer. So helpful for beach towels etc. All in all a very pleasant stay.
  We will definitely be back as we have already reserved for next year. 😉
